All members are assigned to help our church family during one month of the year on either the Women’s Hospitality Committee or the Men’s Work Crew.
Monthly hospitality committees
The hospitality committee provides services large and small to the church family during our fellowship times as well as when members are facing a difficult challenge in their life. The church office communicates more details when it is your month to serve. Some examples are:
1st Sunday Fellowship Meals occur on the first Sunday from October to May following the morning assembly. Hospitality members help with set up and clean up.
3rd Sunday Evening Fellowship meals occur from June to September following the evening assembly. Hospitality members help with clean up.
Caring for Members: The Hospitality Team is on call all month long to help with meals for members as needs arise. Meals are provided for serious illnesses, births, deaths and funerals held at Brentwood Oaks. The office will also create care calendars for meals for members needing long term assistance. Hospitality members should be prepared to sign up to help a member during this difficult time in their life.
Hospitality Committee Members are also encouraged to do hospital visitation and send correspondence to members who need encouragement. The church office will provide that information.
Monthly work crews
The work crew provides valuable and cost-saving service in keeping our grounds neat and in performing light facility maintenance, and doing the setup and take-down needed for meals in the Family Life Center.
