October 30, 2006 - The Word Goes Forth

As you pause to determine the amount of your offering at Brentwood Oaks, consider this: About 16 cents out of every dollar you offer makes possible the hearing of the gospel in the far corners of the earth. From Croatia to Zambia and from Russia to Guatemala, by word of mouth, printed materials and by radio, the good news of God's love is announced. You make this possible.

August 3, 2006 - Word from David and Linda Gregersen

July 31, 2006 Over 900 Christians from all over southern Zambia gathered at Namwianga June 30 – July 4 for the annual lectureship. David served on the planning committee and was one of the speakers and panelists for the event. Zambia Medical Mission consumed the rest of July. We ended up having a total of 13 people living with us, giving us reason to be thankful once again for the generosity of BOCC in providing a home to accommodate our guests so nicely. During the medical mission *104 persons were baptized.* Follow-up on the new Christians and the congregations in the areas served by the medical mission will be conducted in the coming weeks. Please pray for these efforts to encourage the believers and plant new congregations.

July 25, 2006 - A Greeting from Baldimar Ruiz

Guatemala July 20th, 2006 To the Brentwood Church family, Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, it is time to share with you the great opportunity for serving church members and friends I had recently with our workers in Chichicastenango, Quiche. With the presence of about forty US visitors, plus the local staff, we conducted a mobile medical clinic in the highlands of Guatemala. This was a wonderful time of sharing the love of God and to experiencing with our brethren from different countries and cultures the mission that we all have in common, which is to serve and teach about Jesus. The first day of the mobile clinics I had the opportunity to pray and share the good news with about seventy people. The following day, I was able to pray for a hundred patients and thirty patients during the third day and distributed some bibles as well. I would also like to inform you that the church in Chicacao just had two new members. God is blessing us and helping to nurture his kingdom. At the Montellano church, we are receiving the visit of many friends from the surrounding communities, and this is also great because it gives us the opportunity to teach and touch lives. Health Talents and Clinica Ezell continue to be a blessing for the people of Guatemala. Peace and grace to you, 2 Co 13:14. It is my hope that all of you are being blessed by our heavenly father. In Christ, Baldemar Ruiz Evangelista.
