Senior Adults Ministry
Senior Adult Luncheon
Be on the lookout for the date of our next luncheon. Last month, we met at the Fuller’s home for some hamburgers and live music by some of our own members. We had so much fun, and we hope you can join us on our next event!
Purpose:
To give those in the church over 70 years of age, and those who enjoy being with them, opportunities for encouragement and prayer, fellowship and growth, and a sense of belonging that life’s circumstances may have rendered difficult to maintain.
Activities:
- Annual prayer calendars and lists of children and youth in the church for whom to pray by name.
- Seminars or informational meetings on topics of interest to aging Christians.
- Food, fun and fellowship on a monthly basis (from 10:00 a.m. to noon on a Saturday). We play games, watch uplifting movies, sing, tell stories, share artifacts, etc., and eat lunch. Transportation is available if needed.
- Encouragement and support, transportation to worship services, or errands run if needed, but volunteers.
- Connections between aging Christians and those less experienced in life and faith, who are willing to listen and spend time learning from them.
