Women's Ministry

Come join with us...

Show me your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths;
guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my Savior,
and my hope is in you all day long.

Psalm 25:4,5

As the women of Brentwood Oaks, our mission calls us to facilitate spiritual growth among women as we develop our leadership abilities, encourage, train, and challenge women to teach each other and the church.  Together we foster a sense of community and strengthen personal relationships among women.

Join with us as together we commit ourselves to teach what is good, to practice self-control, and to be kind to all so that the power of God's word may be clearly visible in what we say and do.

Who Knew?!! Women Sharing Gifts With Their Sisters

God has given many of us experiences that He can use to bless our sisters.  Are you looking for a Realtor, Accountant or Dental Hygienist? We have that! Do you have a question or need advice about a health concern, an education issue or how to handle an aging parent or rebellious child? We have that too. Or are you looking for someone to share your interest in cooking, scrapbooking or travel? How about a good book to read? Or a fun place to travel on vacation? We have sisters who can help with all of that and more! Check out the list at the link below.

If God has blessed you with a specific skill, or has given you an experience that you would be willing to share, please fill out the survey (link below, login required). Being on this list does not obligate one to do work or solve problems. It just lets your sisters know of someone who may understand their situation and could offer a suggestion or point them to resources.

Click here to download the list or fill out the survey (login required).

SisterTalk

Do you ever wish there were a way you could communicate with all the women at Brentwood? Are you part of a group that you think others would enjoy too?  Do you wish you knew about opportunities to get to know your sisters better? Or wish that you could share a need or an opportunity quickly?

SisterTalk is a low-volume, moderated email list for Brentwood Oaks women to encourage the development of relationships and the meeting of each other’s needs. To participate, go to the SisterTalk information page and fill in the your email address and name in the subscription section, then click the "subscribe" button.

Tapestry Groups

Tapestry Groups are small groups of women who meet once or twice a month for varied purposes - Bible study, service, prayer, knitting, going to movies, cooking, and more. Come share the fellowship and fun - call the church office or email Jennifer Clark (login for member directory).
