What we believe

As Christians, we believe that the only true and living God, Creator of the heavens and earth, revealed himself in the history of Israel and in his son, Jesus of Nazareth. Though Jesus died a criminal’s death on a cross, we believe that through his resurrection from the dead God the Father confirmed Jesus to be the Servant and King foretold by Israel’s prophets. We believe that Jesus is now seated at the right hand of God the Father, waiting for the end of days and his return.

With Christians around the world, we believe that through Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection, the Father is reconciling the universe—His creation—to Himself. In the gift of His Son and His Spirit to believers through Christian baptism (immersion), God reveals Himself as continually giving and blessing our lives from His own life. As Christians, we are called to reflect the nature and purposes of our Father as revealed in Jesus. We are called to live every day in ways that honor God.  We  walk in the way of Jesus, who served others rather than Himself.

Christians await a final judgment by Jesus Christ of things done in the body. We live in anticipation of a new heaven and a new earth in which we will be raised in new bodies to know God as we are known by Him, seeing Him face to face.

We invite you to join with us in proclaiming these eternal truths.
