- Senior adults ministry exists to give those in the church over 70 years of age, and those who enjoy being with them, opportunities for encouragement and prayer, fellowship and growth, and a sense of belonging that life’s circumstances may have rendered difficult to maintain. Activities include annual prayer calendars, seminars or informational meetings on topics of interest to aging Christians, and monthly meetings for food, fun and fellowship. Contact Steve or Janice Fuller for information.
- Austin LifeCare demonstrates Christ’s truth and compassion by promoting positive solutions to the challenges surrounding unplanned pregnancies through prevention, practical assistance, and restorative healing. For Brentwood Oaks, Austin LifeCare is an arm reaching out into the larger Austin community. By supporting the ministries of Austin LifeCare through contributions and volunteering, our members find a place both to serve and to be served. Find more information at the Austin LifeCare volunteer page.
Our congregation’s liaison with LifeCare is Marybeth McCown.

Village Christian Apartments were built in the mid-1970s by Brentwood Oaks church in partnership with the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, to provide safe and comfortable housing for people over the age of 62 and those with disabilities. Several groups from Brentwood Oaks are involved in ministry at VCA including the Youth, the College & Young Professionals, the Chorus, Brentwood Christian School, Saturday Samaritans, and E-teams. Home Groups also meet at VCA on occasion. Our brothers and sisters at Westover Hills Church of Christ host a weekly Sunday morning worship service at VCA. The facilities are open for groups wanting to work with the residents or for those who need a facility for various activities.
Justin Redden (512-459-9550, vca@rcmgt.com) is the Property Manager of VCA, and Nicole Riedesel (512-459-0201), the Resident Services Manager.
- Children's Ark is a preschool program associated with Brentwood Christian School, providing a loving Christian atmosphere where children may grow and develop through a variety of enrichment and readiness experiences. Neither an academic school nor a baybsitting service, the curriculum is designed to provide children with the necessary skills needed for kindergarten. Melanie Howell is the director of Children's Ark.
-
Brentwood Christian School is a college preparatory school whose mission is to lead students to love God and to nurture them in a Christ-centered environment that emphasizes excellence and inspires them to develop their God-given talents for lives of Christian leadership and service. BCS is a ministry of the Brentwood Oaks Church of Christ, co-located on the same property as the church. The BCS Board of Trustees consists of a plurality of Brentwood Oaks members and members of other Churches of Christ in the area.

Developmental Preschool at Brentwood Oaks is a community outreach ministry of the church. Unlike Children's Ark, which is intended as a part-time preschool program, the Developmental Preschool is designed to provide full day care for children in a Christian environment, for children ages 2-6. The program offers care from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Judy Hunter directs the Developmental Preschool.
