  • Lifeline Chaplaincy is a ministry of the Churches of Christ, providing compassionate support to the seriously ill, their families and caregivers.  These gifts of hospitality are a reflection of the love of Jesus Christ.  Lifeline Chaplaincy is active in Houston, Ft.Worth, Dallas and in Central Texas. Lifeline Chaplaincy Central Texas serves patients referred to them in thirty hospitals from Buda to Waco.  LCCT offers training for those ministering to people experiencing illness or loss.  Several Brentwood Oaks members who have experienced this training are now active in hospital visitation. At lifelinechaplaincy.org you may refer patients who are hospitalized or register for workshops.
  • Austin LifeCare demonstrates Christ’s truth and compassion by promoting positive solutions to the challenges surrounding unplanned pregnancies through prevention, practical assistance, and restorative healing. For Brentwood Oaks, Austin LifeCare is an arm reaching out into the larger Austin community. By supporting the ministries of Austin LifeCare through contributions and volunteering, our members find a place both to serve and to be served. Find more information at the Austin LifeCare volunteer page.  Our congregation's liasion with Austin LifeCare is Brandi Gruis.
  • The Village Christian Apartments were built in the mid-1970s by the Brentwood Oaks church in partnership with the US Department of Housing and Urban Development in order to provide safe and comfortable housing for elderly and disabled people 62 years and older. Several groups from Brentwood Oaks are involved in ministry at VCA including the Youth, the College & Young Professionals, the Chorus, Brentwood Christian School, Saturday Samaritans, and E-teams. Home Groups also meet at VCA on occasion. Our brothers and sisters at Westover Hills Church of Christ host a weekly Sunday morning worship service at VCA. The facilities are open for Christian groups wanting to work with the residents or for those who need a facility for various activities.

Justin Redden (512-459-9550emailvca@gmail.com) is the Property Manager of VCA, and Linda Riedesel (512-459-0201vcarsm@gmail.com), the Resident Services Manager.

  • Austin Graduate School of Theology, an accredited seminary offering B.A. and M.A. degrees, is associated with Churches of Christ and in conversation with all who confess Jesus as Lord. Its mission is to promote knowledge, understanding, and practice of the Christian faith by equipping Christians and churches for service in the Kingdom of God. Austin Graduate School of Theology offers the highest level of teaching in biblical and theological studies, in training for a variety of ministry and mission responsibilities, and continuing education resources to strengthen churches and equip church leaders.  Brentwood Oaks is blessed to have among its members several faculty members and graduates of Austin Graduate School of Theology.

  • Brentwood Christian School is a PreK-12 college preparatory school whose mission is to lead students to love God and to nurture them in a Christ-centered environment that emphasizes excellence and inspires them to develop their God-given talents for lives of Christian leadership and service. The BCS preschool program provides a loving Christian atmosphere where children may grow and develop through enrichment and readiness experiences. The curriculum provides children the opportunity to develop the necessary skills needed for kindergarten.  BCS is owned and operated by the Brentwood Oaks Church of Christ as a ministry, and is located on the same property as the church. The BCS Board of Trustees consists of a plurality of Brentwood Oaks members and members of other Churches of Christ in the area.

  • Senior adults ministry provides our more senior members opportunities for encouragement and prayer, fellowship and growth, and a sense of belonging that life’s circumstances may have rendered difficult to maintain.  Activities include annual prayer calendars, seminars or informational meetings on topics of interest to aging Christians, and monthly meetings for food, fun and fellowship. Contact Steve or Janice Fuller for information.
